ACE 2012 Level 1 Course
Participants will choose one of the 2 Program options.
Program 1 - Tuesday 14, Wednesday 15, Thursday 16 February 2012.
Program 2 - Friday 22 June, Friday 29 June and Friday 6 July 2012.
Each day will be scheduled from 9.00am - 5.00pm.

Making clinical reasoning explicit
How context and culture shape learning
Student characteristics
Planning and orientation
Supervisory styles
Day 2: Practice in action
Elements of effective supervision
Culturally sensitive supervision
Identifying and managing challenging attitudes and behaviors
Day 3: Assessment and evaluation
The process of student assessment
Challenges associated with assessment of students
The why and how of evaluating the clinical experience
Reflective practice for the clinician and student
Assessment
In order to be eligible for the Certificate of Advancing Clinical Education, participants must complete the three day program and a self-directed learning contract. Participants use the learning contract to develop their knowledge or skills in an area of clinical education of personal interest.
This multidisciplinary course is appropriate for all allied health and health professionals. |
